Pölva leader: game with granitas was our game

All BHL final four participants are now clear. Two Estonian clubs, one Latvian and one Lithuanian team will play in the final four. The final four tournament will take place on April 15-16.

Last season BHL finalists Pölva Serviti club eliminated Granitas-Karys Kaunas. Pölva Serviti won both legs.

Pölva Serviti – Granitas-Karys 39:28 (14:11). AGG: 65:50

Pölva Serviti – Sillaste 8, Timmo 8, Rooba 6, Rebane 4.

Granitas-Karys – Jurkevičius 10, Lazauskas 4, Štarolis 3, Eiva 3.

Henri Sillaste (player, Pölva Serviti):

Today’s game with Granitas was our game. We played in attack and defence very well and the game was our control. It was a team win and all the players played well. I am very happy that we reached the final four again.

Vaidotas Grosas (coach, Granitas-Karys):

We played poorly at the start of the match. We did not realize good opportunities, we made a lot of mistakes. In the first ten minutes, we allowed the opponents to gain the lead. We did not achieve our goals in the Baltic League. Our goal was to reach the final four. However, we only finished fourth in the group. This led to the fact that in the quarter-finals we met one of the favorites of the league.

Pölva Serviti will meet VHC Šviesa in the semi-finals. The other semi-final pair is Viljandi HC and ZRHK TENAX Dobele.
